How does ArvoDocs pricing compare to other QMS platforms?

Based on publicly reported figures and customer-shared quotes: enterprise platforms (MasterControl, Veeva Vault Quality, ETQ Reliance) are commonly reported in the $30,000–$200,000-per-year range, with a 3–9 month implementation and consultants invoicing $200/hour to configure fields. Mid-market options (Greenlight Guru, Qualio) are commonly reported around $15,000–$50,000 a year. ArvoDocs runs $0 to $4,788 a year for the same core capabilities — document control, quality events, supplier management, audit trail, e-signatures, training records — with a self-serve signup and same-afternoon deployment. Competitor pricing is opaque by design (most are sales-quoted) so figures here are estimates from public sources, not first-party quotes.

What does AI integration include — and is it really free?

Yes. AI integration via the Model Context Protocol (MCP) is included on every plan, including the free Starter tier. Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, and other MCP-aware AI assistants can connect directly to your QMS. Twenty-three tools let an assistant browse documents, search events, draft new SOPs from templates, open CAPAs, fill in stage fields, and answer audit-prep questions — all scoped to your tenant, all logged in your audit trail. The boundary is firm: AI can draft and edit drafts; signing, approving, rejecting, and making documents effective still require a human in the UI with password re-authentication (21 CFR Part 11). Are there limits or per-call charges on MCP / AI integration?

No per-call charges, no tier-gating. Every plan — Starter, Scaling, Growth — includes unlimited MCP requests and unlimited integrations (one read-only token for analysts, one read-and-edit token for drafting, one OAuth-connected claude.ai workspace — issue as many as you need). Token-bucket rate limits exist at the per-token level for abuse protection but won't be hit by normal use. The AI assistant on the other end is billed by its vendor (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.) — that side is between you and them.

What’s included in the free Starter tier?

Up to 100 documents, 10 GB storage, 1 admin + 1 quality manager + 5 basic users, full document control, immutable audit trail, and one-click compliance-pack deploy. No credit card required, no expiration.

Can I migrate data from my existing QMS?

You can upload and attach your existing documents directly (PDF or .docx) so they're controlled immediately, then migrate them into ArvoDocs records at your own pace as you revise them. No big-bang cutover required.

Is ArvoDocs designed to support ISO 13485 / 21 CFR Part 11?

Yes. The Document Control and Quality Events modules are designed to support 21 CFR Part 11 e-signature requirements (password re-authentication on every signing, name + date/time + meaning captured, immutable audit trail). Compliance packs cover ISO 13485, ISO 9001, OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030, HACCP / FSSC 22000 / SQF / BRCGS, and more. Final QMS responsibility is yours, but the controls regulators look for are in the platform.

How is my data secured?

Encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+), hosted on Microsoft Azure in the US. Multi-tenant isolation enforced at the database level with row-level-security policies. Full audit trail on every record; access to production systems restricted and logged. Postgres backed up daily with 28-day point-in-time-restore retention.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. No contracts, no cancellation fees. Monthly plans cancel at the end of the billing period. Annual plans are non-refundable but keep access through the end of the term.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

You have 90 days after cancellation to export everything (PDF and structured CSV). After that, data is permanently deleted. We never hold your data hostage.

Is there a free trial for paid plans?

The Starter plan is free forever, so most teams use that as their trial. Upgrade to Scaling or Growth when your process needs more — there's no separate trial step.
